I’ve been on Providence MedAd for four years - $29/month. In 2026 Medicare premiums are increasing 11.2% while the COLA will be 2.7% (probably, though also probably artificially low because of the mess in DC). I know I’ll pay more now, but need dental and vision.

I was notified today that my Medicare Advantage plan will not be available in 2026. I doubt I’ll find a new plan as affordable. It’s starting to feel like getting rid of the elders is part of the plan.

I knew AI was going to do a lot of harm, but I never imagined it would become part of our political system used to toss junior high school memes and slop back and forth. My level of embarrassment in my government is off the chart. We need the adults back.

Because I suspect men will always be predators. I’m an old lady but since I don’t use a photo in my profile, they take the chance … or else they know I’m old and therefore a potential mark. It’s exhausting.

Mine included a friend of my mom and the Ukrainian-Catholic priest who sat in on youth group counseling sessions, among others. I never understood I was prey until I was in my mid-50s. At nearly 70, I readily tell my story.

As someone who as a troubled teen was preyed upon by adult men, all I can say is I hope they all burn in hell.

I learned about this Raskin effort several months ago. It sounds promising but why isn’t it getting more publicity?
