Game didn’t turn out the way we wanted, but being able to experience my first opening day with my family was a great experience.

Takeshi Kitano still has the juice. Broken Rage is a hilarious mash-up of all the genres that Kitano thrives at.

The 3rd act of Ash saved it a bit for me, but it was a slog to get there. I liked the visuals and the great score from Flying Lotus. I just wished the meandering poorly-paced story followed suit.

We are blessed to have Steven Soderbergh in our lives. Presence is a fresh attempt at the found footage genre, by using a ghost as our window into the lives of one screwed up family. Like other Soderbergh projects, not everything works, but I will always be happy when he tries something new.

I got to see #Companion in a packed theater as part of a Mystery Horror Movie night, and it added to the experience. It’s a crowd pleasing horror movie. You need to give the movie the benefit of the doubt for it to succeed, but it works because it nails the tone and it’s just a blast to watch.
