Huuuuuuge turnout in Boston yesterday, apparently 100,000 people showed! The crowd was fantastic, we shut down all of downtown Boston and marched for our rights. As always, Bostonians aren't afraid to stand up to bullshit

I went to my first protest of 2025 today, at the Maine state house in Augusta for International Women's Day. A few hundred people turned up, we heard speeches from members of the Maine Democratic party, and we marched! I was inspired by the number of women and men of all ages uniting for justice.

I'm going to start using this account instead of just lurking. In case anyone ever follows me, my name is Laura, I'm an aspiring marine ecologist currently in Maine, USA, and I'm fed up with current events. I plan to post protest and science content, and start maintaining this little blog
