This whole scheme seems super-sketch but I was also surprised by just how many big name funds bought stakes in that ALTS financing round, which is explicitly earmarked for buying the WLFI tokens, and that closed just a few weeks ago. Makes me wonder what the game plan is here?

Trudeau did this in Canada 6-7 years ago. If you read between the lines at the time it was clear that SMBs would be pressed while big corporations protected, Govt largesse on favored sectors and speculators left alone. You had to pivot. Now the US, albeit via much different means, is doing the same.

And i get that Canada has rejected proposals to the west coast before. But this is a different situation. Alberta can even agree to limit total oil production to appease the greenies (in return for pipeline concessions), and again to insure that once the oil is gone it isn't coming back.

No threats of shutting off oil for a month or two. Nothing underhanded. Just say okay, we can find other markets. You are going to have to find the heavy oil barrels for those Midwest refineries somewhere else and once we begin construction we aren't stopping unless you pay us to.

For a time, it was actually banned for the opposite. You don't have to believe in conspiracies to know THE SCIENCE is a shade of grey.
