Giant City is also a great place. And the lodge has great accommodations. Carbondale has seen better days, it was a blast back in the days of Halloween on the Strip 🎃

YES! We wandered around there and were quick fans! We went at peak autumn time to take in the foliage. It was stunning! 🤩

I’m at the opposite end of the state, so it’s not very accessible for us. But the Shawnee is and we go exploring as often as possible. BTW; I love your photo! Winter is my favorite time to go hiking. 🥾 🥶🌨️☃️❄️

Just found this park a couple years ago, took both my so sons and we had the best time there. The history, the waterfalls, just everything we were looking for.
