The reasonable reader would see the original post (that is satirical), see the reply that implies that a candidate who is not some % hitler is unrealistic, see the stereotypical language (lefties, smh) and correctly assume it's also satirical, in the the other app it's a reasonable doubt though.

Although I think your deniability argument is fair, the Onion retort doesn't apply here, because while it does make sense for the Onion institution as a whole, I couldn't fathom if every post of the Onion had a "(parody)" or a "(sarcasm)" written in it's headlines.
