After watching the governor of Illinois joke that he’s renaming Lake Michigan Lake Illinois, I’m wondering if we should just start renaming *everything* to their original indigenous names. Let’s not stop at Tahoma.

So I feel like there needs to be a category for jobs that require training/certificates. Like SEO or programming or similar. Hell my current rent job is project management.

IDK about movies, but Reddit has a kdrama sub. It might be worth looking at. That said, I do sympathize, it's hard losing something important to you, even if it's something as 'silly' as movies. Movies are how we connect in life, there's nothing silly about it.

On one hand, I feel like this is a consequence of chasing the foreign box office, at least in part. Romance and comedy both rely on too much cultural context to export. On the other hand, Korea manages to make cute romcom series that mostly hit right.

Fascinating, I've heard of languages with really no gendered pronouns but not ones with over 20. Are gender distinctions independent of pronouns in Vietnamese?
