In theory, but we've seen that theory fail, over and over. Sorry to say, but capitalism is, in the long-term, incompatible with democracy.

Cops are people who agreed to enforce The Law via violence. As the law is not arbiter of morality, and cops don't need to know anything about law, the end result is that cops are just violent gangs hired by the government.

Not every game can be Alpha Protocol, but if you're trying to make choices feel important, devs should look at what tricks the best used.

The issue with "Choices Matter" is that it doesn't actually tell you anything. It could mean a small number of big choices, a big number of small choices, or any number of other things.

I have two rules for playing gacha games. Only keep one downloaded at any given time, and delete it the moment it annoys you. I've played many gacha games and the one that lasted the longest was Battle Cats, which I actually just grew bored of.

Which is a shame. It's why I pretty much only use their alternate attacks. My favorite is the circle AoE.

It is beneficial to society to not be making arbitrary (as if there's any other kind here) criteria about what makes people valuable to society.

Yeah, overall, I've yet to find one that does action commands better than Legend of Dragoon and I've yet to find a turn-based RPG better than FF10.

It kind of works in games like Paper Mario, and Legend of Dragoon was pretty good. I think part of it is that it should be pretty explicit about timing and that failing the timing shouldn't be very harsh. From what I've heard of E33 it is bad on both of those points.

IIRC, Crysis was built for a system that doesn't exist. They bet on bigger processors over multi-core and lost, from what I heard.
