They have to hold onto power because otherwise many of them will be prosecuted for the crimes they have been committing. This is unless they make a deal with centrist Dems to not go along with prosecuting them, which has probably happened in the past

There will be no democracy if they keep asking for crumbs. I personally think they're too comfortable and there needs to be more agitation by their base. More phone calls, picketing at their office, home or town hall, whatever it takes to get them less comfortable and better fighters for democracy.

You either try to protect us (do your job) or you're going to hear and feel our rage. It's called accountability. It's not only the murders. People have been kidnapped off the street by masked men with no due process. No 1st, 2nd, 4 amend rights and Dems still wanted to fund ICE. It's just crazy.

The Dems think everything will go back to normal, so they do very little but wait til the next election. GOP is bad, they say, so people will vote for us. Then when they do get the majority they don't give the people what they want, so GOP wins next time. The cycle repeats. Tired of this yet?

I expect Dems to think everything will go back to normal if the regime fires someone. Since Repubs are so bad they think they'll get the majority again. But because they don't give the people what they want, Repubs will get right back in power. Dems have been partly responsible for getting us here.

Republicans can only win on this if Dems don't have morals and will not campaign aggressively on abolishing ICE. The script or campaign writes itself (kidnapping 5 year olds & murder), that's if they are not cowtowing to their corporate donors or some out of touch consultant.

Oh Stop. Don't you have morals? ICE needs to be abolished. Politicians run on things all the time that they can't get accomplished instantaneously or right away. No one says they can do it this very second, but they better want to do it or many of us will not vote for them in the primary.

She's like a lot of Dem politicians. She takes advice from out of touch consultants and her donors, so they end up sounding like this and don't meet the moment.

People are looking for a fight against this regime. Dems need to deliver the fight even if they can't get it. Otherwise they just look weak, and who wants to vote for a week party.
