Following this sermon, the Trump admin rescinded the ICE policy preventing detainments in sensitive places, such as places of worship. And a congressperson called for Budde’s deportation.

As I think about our collective future, I don’t want to underestimate the value of celebrating small victories. These will give us endurance and are essential to cultivating hope. What small victories do you or your community have from the last two weeks? Let’s celebrate them.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, I called upon the Cincinnati City Council to approve funding for additional mental health and safety for transgender and nonbinary youth. The money was unanimously allocated. Here is a portion of what I said: (1/3)

$117,000,000 were spent on anti-trans hate speech in the last election. Some Tran support lines reported 700% increase in call volume following the election. There is a correlation.
