"Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers"

Some shit was confusing, so many episodes felt like the finale with how epic the battles were, characters make odd choices, a whole lotta shit just kinda happens.

So, given what I know of the game lore, the anime did a great job bringing in the GG spirit.

So like, obviously this wasn't GOOD, and there were a lot of badly aged mental institution stereotypes. The original final boy comes back with the worst plan imaginable and it backfires (whaaa). And then Chucky very technically becomes sapphic.

So, REALLY funny shit.

"Fear Street: Prom Queen"

Nothing too mind blowing with this one. I kinda liked the design of the slasher, and the twist wasn't too bad. This just felt a lot more trope-y than the others, and not in a particularly creative or reimagined way.

"Zombieland"

Yeah this shit was really funny. There were a couple jokes that didn't age well, but for the most part, this was a refreshing take on a zombie apocalypse with a really nice found family twist to it.

"Sinners"

The first half was already such a solid period piece that I would've been totally down following the whole way, but the vampires is what made it fully unique. It's a jarring plot element to be introduced, but I think that's what adds to the charm. Really fun and amazing music.

"The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes"

Fascinating to see the early (somehow more) barbaric days of the Hunger Games + how much Snow ended up influencing them. I wish his gradual corruption was a little more clear, but it was still compelling. Also loved Lucy Gray and how complex yet fun she was.

"Colorful Stage!: A Miku Who Can't Sing"

While the music and performances were fun (and ofc our main Miku herself), there simply wasn't much conflict/struggle amongst the huge cast to really care. It's mainly how can they all do the same thing to help victims they don't personally know.

To keep this short and sweet, i think 85% of my criticisms can all circle back to Gerald and his uncalled for presence, from some characters' lack of screentime, agency, lack of relationship development, and just a lot of dicking around.

"Adventure Time (Season 10)"

🥺🥺🥺 Man what else is there to say other than this was the perfect way to end the series, even if there were a couple flaws. Action packed, gut wrenching, heartwarming, it was amazing. (I do wish there was more Huntress Wizard though, she was cool). Did cry 100%

"An American Werewolf in London"

The sfx in this movie is super well done for its time, and I do enjoy the blend of horror and humor the film had. Other than that, though, it didn't leave a super huge impression on me. Plus, the ending was super anticlimactic.

"Legend of Korra (Season 4)"

So like, not the worst season but,, it's still not good. Logistics of mechs still suck, most of Korra's squad is useless and they just aren't friends. Random lore drop made incest happen. It was kinda just disorganized and anticlimactic end.

She was a free spirit, not someone who I think would tear her family apart and not disclose half of their heritage just bc she didn't wanna) Kuvira and her army, along with one of her ugly ass robots (god the CGI was not good) Kora watching a giant super mech tearing apart the city (this literally cannot just be 2 generations after The Last Airbender, tech doesn't WORK LIKE THAT) Everyone gathered at the finale

"Devil May Cry (2025)"

Even as a non-DMC fan, I could tell the vibes are off. Genuinely, it's strange that demons are now a racial allegory, feels forced. Lady is the real protag and seems less complex and more like the writers were indecisive. Dante is a plot device. The rabbit was cool tho.

"Adventure Time (Season 9)"

Oh maaaan this has been a significant improvement from Islands, and generally just one of the best seasons up to this point. It's funny, heartwarming, and then absolutely brutal.

On a cloud in the sky, Betty laughs manically as she connects herself to a machine that's also to connected to the Ice King's crown. Ice King is tied up and watches her in confusion. Marceline watches a home video of her as a little girl playing with her mom on the beach, projected onto the wall by BMO. The Lich and Sweet Pea's shadows joining each other on a green tile wall. (This situation was just overall really funny, the Lich will never stop bring a fraud.) Finn holds off Fern's grass sword with his robotic arm as they're engaged in battle.

They did a great job building off of original Generations. Also glad they're having fun with new mechanics, they need to explore those more. (I'm just kinda bad at using them so I struggled).

Uh but why were there no Shadow 2005 stages, that makes no sense.

"Pokemon 3 The Movie: Spell of the Unown"

This movie was a /lot/ more sad than I expected it to be. It's an excellent tale of the impacts of grief at a young age and the denial phase of mourning. There were ways to make the ending more impactful, but I get it, it's a kids movie. Still p good.

The humans reveal was okay, kinda weird but whatevs, and Susan's part was solid. But... hey. Why are we suddenly ok redeeming pos Martin Mertens? That highkey ruined everything.

Umm... like, it was /fine/. I understand slice of lifes tend to be slow, but this one REALLY dragged. Also, hi, what was with the absurd amount of queer baiting? That sure happened.

Reina looking at Kumiko, who is holding her risk after accidentally asking her out so she could have an excuse to not go to a festival with a boy. Reina and Kumiko after having a heart to heart on a mountain top (this was after one of them said "this is a love confession" by the way) Reina demanding that Kumiko never give up on her and Kumiko saying that she'd rather die than give up on her (this is after the second time one of them says "this is a love confession" by the way). Their faces are like an inch apart from each other and Reina is caressing Kumiko's face. Reina hugging a surprised Kumiko with tears in her eyes.
