From what I understand, the MAGAs believe that they are the oppressed and the silenced; they believe they have toppled the leftist elitist government; they believe that they are the resistance, that they have saved democracy. For them, this is their song.

People live in echo chambers and news silos. They don’t see, read, have access to the facts. The facts are then interpreted through conservative spin.
