i don't think i have a *good* answer for this since i'm of the belief that particular games just aren't really *for me*, but if i had to answer, i'd probably say any of the newer 'call of duty' games. i just don't understand why they're so successful. doesn't look very fun.

was easy to narrow it down to 3 but i don't wanna have to choose just one.

my biggest complaint about spider-man ps4 is that the game should've just let us beat her up.

while both 'super mario rpg' and 'paper mario: the thousand year door' are both rightfully still talked about to this day, i feel like 'mario + rabbids: sparks of hope' also deserves to be mentioned in, if not be quite close to that same conversation. lovely video game.

not gonna try and start any edelgard discourse on this app but i did find her jihad against the church to be a very compelling narrative force.
the illusive man kinda speaks for himself lol.

i love geralt too much. not only is he really likeable, but he also makes for one of the most interesting vessels through which you get to experience a game's setting (or just a piece of fiction's setting).

my current favorite is 'marvel rivals'. i didn't think i would like it as much as i do, but it's really fun.
my all-time favorite is probably 'mario kart 8 deluxe'. don't think i need to explain that one lol.

gonna cop out again by putting two games instead of just one (because i really cannot decide).

there's a few i'd wanna see, but off the top of my head...
(also if anyone else has played 'neopets — petpet adventures: the wand of wishing', plz let me know. we can be friends)

a personal flaw of mine is starting too many games at once. at some point, i was doing tw3, 'dragon age: inquisition', 'persona 5', and bg3 simultaneously.
these days, i juggle between 'monster hunter: world', 'pillars of eternity', 'hogwarts legacy', and 'god of war'.

a lot of the boss fights in bg3 took me at least a couple of hours to beat. raphael, on the other hand, took me a whole afternoon; talk about a true test of both strength and patience. my goodness. was super satisfying to finally kill him, though.

as far as single-player games go, i've put in an ungodly amount of hours into 'the witcher 3', both botw AND totk, 'dragon age: inquisition' and 'veilguard', and 'persona 5', but none of them hold a candle to the 200+ hours i put into just one playthrough in bg3.

there's a few that i can think of but the game that i have the most and earliest memories of has to be this one. i was around maybe 5 when i started playing this and what drew me in was rescuing the animals.
honorable mentions: spyro, digimon world, army men
