Lover of wildlife. More comfortable with animals than people. Vegetarian. Keen gardener - grow lots of fruit & veg organically in my Hampshire garden. Cat servant. Home baker.
A brazen Robin who drops heavy hints that I should go out with food by perching on the window sill, hovering at the window and tweeting. Sometimes pecks the glass too. Of course, I always oblige. #ukwildlife

Red soldier beetles & unidentified species of moth feeding on ragwort. This often maligned plant supports a wide range of pollinating insects, some of which feed exclusively on it. #ukwildlife

Cheeky carrion crow sitting on my greenhouse trying to work out how to get the fat pellets out of the jar that's in there. A regular visitor, especially now its hungry and very noisy young have fledged! Becoming quite friendly as I do feed it some pellets from time to time. #ukwildlife

One of a pair of Carrion Crows who regularly visit my garden. They know me as I take food for the blackbird & robin - which they steal if I move away. So I have to be a human scarecrow. But the crows have a beauty of their own & are raising a family somewhere nearby. #UKwildlife
