The teens were really engaged in the conversation. Spend some time with the youth in your church and you’ll find hope. We also had gumbo and king cake and one of our group rehearsed a song in old english that they are auditioning with for the university music program.

I learned that it is against the law in most schools in Mississippi to say HIV or condom during sex education. This isn’t new or a result of the current political climate. It’s been like this in lots of places for a long time.

If we want our churches to be healing spaces we need to pay attention to how we invite people to be present in time and body.
