"Nothing New" a poem by Robert Frost, at age 46 reflects upon memories winter and aging. It seems perfect to share with you all on the hot summer days we are sweltering through now

My favorite lines:

"Nothing new--
Though I am further upon my way"

At day’s end, the lifeguards take the swim flags down. It’s as much a summer ritual as the sunset itself. Today I caught this lens flare and it just works out.

Enjoy…

Under #starscapes above
sameness slips from his
shoulders, like an ill fitting
cloak to the cold sand
the well trod path ahead
no longer his

One thing enables
a fresh drink from nascent
love’s sweet elixir

Each breaking wave
shouts the answer

On a Nashville trail today - and came across this beautiful southern flower.

Magnolia trees are in full bloom, and I just had to share its quiet beauty

Love how #ArthurSze sets up the premise:

our emotions resemble leaves and alive
to their shapes we are nourished.

From there, Sze takes us on an extended metaphorical journey for the rest of the page. Brilliant concept, brilliant #poetry writing...

Remembering the visual lavender fields outside of Marseilles, France, the smell of the flowers and the crunchy dryness of the hard ground.

The Casa Blanca Lily -

A beautiful trait, in addition to its physical beauty, is that it blooms at night.

The favorite flower for those who flourish in the dark...

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction
ice Is also great
And would suffice

“Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”
