Imagine an indoor skinfield on Tawa hills. The only indoor ski field in NZ is in Auckland. Wellingtons one could provide another indoor activity, a wonter sports training centre and economic activity. It would even have the potential to be solar and wind powered. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

Imagine if 'The Oaks' building was removed to create a large public square between Dixon St and Manners St. The Oaks is a really bad 80s building and needs replacing. We all love Arty Bees, but imagine a public space right there on Cuba St. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

Two oversized birds that sort of look like a kiwi and a takahe. But AI has got it wrong. The kiwi has a brown feathered body with a weird orange head, like a kid with ginger mullet. And the takahe isn't as fat as they usually are. This one has less purple than normal and more little white spotted feathers.

What if State Highway 1 had a large sculpture marking the entrance to Wellington. In the past, there was a proposal for a giant hook sculpture, linking to the legend of Maui and Wellington harbor being the eye of the fish. #LovePoneke #ArohaWellington

Imagine a new enhanced and future proofed Ferry Terminal at Kaiwharawhara. Allowing more larger boats to operate and connecting seamlessly to public transport. A new override would allow easy pedesteian connections. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

Imagine a waterfront tram or Light Rail connecting the 2km from the Inter-Island Ferry terminal to the central train station. It could also stop for cruise ship passengers and the customs over bridge for stadium users. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

Imagine a new Ice Rink and indoor Ice Arena for Ice Hockey, Ice Skating and Curling. Wellington is missing this type of facility and the land next to Kilbrine pools seems ideal. Sharing heating/cooling plant with a pool reduces costs for both buildings. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke

What if SH1 was capped between boulcott St and the Terrace Tunnel? The space could be used for a new urban park, bringing the greenbelt into the city and creating another link from Kelburn to the city. #ArohaWellington ##LovePoneke

What if the Beehive had actual beehives? Bees are important, even im urban environments and the Beehive seems like a logical place to have some.
Some government building with beehives in the forecourt. My AI app had the hardest time recreating the NZ government Beehive and kept putting in images of US government buildings. Makes me think AI is preferential to American cultural images!

Imagine a high quality Public Transport connection from Johnsonville - Porirua. An option could be to extend the J-ville line in a tunnel under churton park and back to the main line at Glenside. Giving the northern Wellibgton suburbs better transport north and south #ArohaWellington ##LovePoneke

What if Johnsonville Mall was redeveloped as a mixed use precinct, Apartment buildings, laneways style shopping mall, community facility and green space all adjacent a public transport interchange and library. #ArohaWellington #LovePoneke
