Saw this Emperor Moth and a Green Hairstreak on my walk up on Grinton Moor this morning along with good views of Golden Plover, Ring Ouzel, Lapwing, Curlew and Skylark.

Great Breeding Bird Survey training session at Barlow Common for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust this morning followed by a visit to @rspb.bsky.social Blacktoft Sands. Highlights were a Bittern and three Garganey 😀

A very beautiful but frozen Scorton Lakes this morning. Still got to 37 species though with great views of a Sparrowhawk and male and female Stonechats.
