Furthermore, Eurylochus still has some royalty to Odysseus. A royalty that is perhaps bigger than the one for the crew. Odysseus has to use this to his advantage to escape, even if it means to manipulate everyone around him but especially Eury.

Odysseus knows he is outnumbered, but he is a smart man with a high enough pain tolerance and he will never, ever give up. He notices that there is already a slight infight. Yes some of them thinks it's amusing how Perimedes treats their wife, but Elpenor and Eurylochus is strongly against it.

He was ready to die with this secret. It's not like him and Odysseus could be anything more, especially because their friendship started to sour more and more. But finally, thanks for the twist of the curse, Eurylochus gets to live out a life he always wanted.

Eurylochus is the most interesting of them all imo. He is the only one who had genuine romantic feelings towards Odysseus way before all of this. They grew up together, they were best friends and Eurylochus only married Ctimene because she was the closest thing to Odysseus.

But once the journey started, Odysseus' attention drifted more and more and in the end they weren't more than pawns to him. It's a form of betrayal that Perimedes will NEVER forget, and if he had to force Odysseus' attention back on him, then he'll do it.

One time Odysseus asks Perimedes if he really hates him that much, and his answer is that he doesn't hate him, he adores him. Much like many other he did respect and love their captain, the one who always protected them during the war.

He is not above hitting him, hurting him, tying him up and humiliating him. He essentially plays a fucked up version of house with him. Odysseus actually has to thank him for fucking him, or he'll be punished even further. Perimedes seems to be the most angry about his crimes.
