I plan on incorporating valuable feedback I got from Cohort Number One. I think it makes total sense to spread out the workshop over a few weeks, 2 hours twice a week, that sort of thing — & I will add more structure with activities geared toward creating helpful career futuring takeaways.

Check out this AI Animated Clip from @n.evernow over on Instagram ... it’s almost hypnotic, and very magical

Day One of Two — Complete!

I got to welcome the very first cohort joining my very first workshop / course on Maven — ‘Building Possibilities, Hope, and Confidence in Your Career Futuring Gameplan’ ... I’m like outta my mind excited about how it went this afternoon. Looking forward to Day Two!

I’m sharing Maceo’s Instagram Post ‘Elusive Otus’ here to inspire you with a beautiful photograph of a long eared owl out in the wilderness on their hunt

The window to possibly change the course for The States & Our Peoples will be quickly closing.

I’m not sure what can actually be done at the individual citizen &/or local levels of American action / activism to make sure justice is served in this case ...

... behind there being this secret international cabal of human trafficking, prostitution, & other illicitness — the very person that’s sickeningly benefited most from radicalizing more than half of the population of The States against itself — will most likely brush this one under the rug, too.

My guesstimate with all of this recent attempt to cover up more of the obvious criminal bromantic engagements between Trump & Epstein is that, yet again, The Wrong Thing might come of all of this. Meaning, The Mastermind behind the rumor-mongering genius of QAnon & the conspiracy theoretics ...

It ‘feels like’ that latest ‘Luigi Moment’ upon us — one that could really truly change the world if enough of The People grab hold of a very obvious vulnerability in the system — is The Epstein Quandary.
August 7, 2025 at 11:19 PM
That media-blip seems to have already been swept under the rug. Mum’s The Word, as they say ( whatever THAT means ... whoever THEY are, right? 😜 ) ... & Healthcare continues to totally OWN us as opposed to actually serving society in a way that would contribute to a better quality of life for us.
August 7, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Unfortunately I think we missed out on our post-Luigi moment to push back on the horrifically unregulated runaway world of Healthcare in America. We could have taken that violent act & all of the discussion coming up around an assassination to push the needle & work to tame that rotten beast.

We actually have agency in the world. And we need to actually use it. Just because someone put us on The Course to Deregulate for The Benefit of Better Business and rather unsustainable growth economics — just because someone predicted Man & Machine Will Merge — doesn’t mean it’s the only way.
August 7, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Just like we are not on some inevitable course to follow our newly revved up ‘reasoning machines’ into the algorithmic stratospheres of our post-human Singularity as predicted by Kurzweil & The Second Phase Futurists.
August 7, 2025 at 11:00 PM
Interestingly enough ... none of this stuff is set in stone. There is no magick sense of kismet ‘holding us to it,’ so to speak. We are not destined to follow Uncle Ronnie’s Trickle Down Lies down into The Gulf of America & then down the f’n economic toilet.
August 7, 2025 at 10:58 PM
There will be ‘No Nation Without Government Regulation’.

I guess it all kinda goes back to Ronnie & The Muppet Show Administration that started The Grand Old Party’s moves to reduce any sense of business accountability to protect The People — the workers — from the ownership class.
August 7, 2025 at 10:55 PM
It all makes for a highly unpredictable & frighteningly volatile economic context for us all.

The famous phrase ‘No Taxation Without Representation’ comes to mind, maybe making more sense with a little twist of lime ...
August 7, 2025 at 10:53 PM
& if our labor laws here in The States do not hold businesses accountable to the workforce or the economy in general beyond balancing a spreadsheet ‘sans res ethica’ on a week-by-week basis ... what would a stat like ‘Newly Hired’ even indicate for the health of our economy?
August 7, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Is that why it ‘feels like’ Business is ‘putting it all on red’ with AI, like it’s the next big California Gold Rush for Tech & The Global Economy?
August 7, 2025 at 10:40 PM
How long can the world watch what Capitalism does to keep the economy moving even though — from a long-view projections perspective — the trends are looking bleaker & bleaker ... especially for anyone that goes beyond metrics like ‘The Rich are Getting Richer’?
August 7, 2025 at 10:38 PM
... could it be Business itself ... aka The Economy ... that is extraordinarily broken? It certainly ‘feels’ like that’s the case to me.
August 7, 2025 at 10:34 PM
Or — maybe — another ‘feeling’ I’m getting lately is that there’s something more fundamentally broken at the layers ABOVE the recruitment systems, HR, application tracking systems, and all that jazz.

That it might be ... hmmmm 🫤 could it be?
August 7, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Who’s REALLY getting hired?

How’s that successful outcome miraculously happening for anyone?

It ‘feels like’ the online application systems that seemed to be working fine in that era from the mid 2000s to at least 2010 or so are, for the large part, broken. At least that’s something I suspect.
August 7, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Wouldn’t a more helpful statistic — maybe a far better indicator of a strong & stable economy — be something more like ‘73,000 filled’?

Over the last few years, as I’ve dealt with the incredibly strange & broken world of modernday recruitment, you cannot help but wonder 🤨

What about all of the people — like me — that can no longer collect unemployment benefits? Even though I am working as an independent strategic innovation consultant and teach, I am still technically unemployed by the books ... and I definitely do NOT have the equivalent of full-time $ coming in yet
