i often find the jewish annotated new test. enlightens nt texts. in this passage it notes a difference to revelation 21:8 ("polluted") and refers to a qumran scroll (ii temple sectarian text) that forbids dogs from entering the holy camp/jerusalem as they would have contracted impurity from corpses.
