Having watched Dead Poets Society before & after Robin Williams' passing really hits different. It's such a timeless coming-of-age drama, but to see Robin in his role as the inspiring Mr Keating, forever frozen as an icon of hope, it's a poignant reminder of his legacy

this "creativity privilege" talk hurts me like i teach in art school & have college age students w/ no prior formal exp in art, even a few w/ very little exp, & while they grumble over my lessons like typical students, it never stopped them picking up a pencil & getting creative
