The Sirens have added defender Olivia Knowles to their active roster.

Nicole Vallario returns to the Reserve List. Dayle Ross remains on LTIR.

Just a depth move for @pwhlsirens.bsky.social, it seems.

The #Sirens dropped their third straight yesterday, falling to the undefeated Boston Fleet.

Diving into a gem from Aerin Frankel, some NY lineup changes, and an interesting quote from head coach Greg Fargo — it’s all in my latest for PWHL Now.

Here’s a good visualization from Crease Giants that helps explain why #Sirens head coach Greg Fargo continues to praise his team’s process.

By far the best shot rate in the PWHL and a lot of misfortune (96.0 PDO).

Leads you to believe that brighter days are ahead.

Kris Sparre on Aerin Frankel:

“What separates her is her mentality. She's a warrior in there. She fights through traffic. People get in her lane, and she just finds a way to fight and get eyesight on the puck. She has such a high standard that she sets for herself and you see it every game.”
December 18, 2025 at 4:38 AM
I asked Kris Sparre if he’s surprised Boston has taken to his system so quickly:

“Surprise isn't the word. I think what I'm most grateful for is the players. As a coach, you put together systems, you put together identity, and you want to have standards that you uphold every day…”
December 18, 2025 at 4:37 AM
Kris Sparre’s thoughts after the Fleet improve to 5-0-0-0:

“It was a clunky game for us. We looked like a team that just took 10 days off. At the same time, the word resiliency comes to mind. We find a way — and obviously Aerin Frankel gave us a chance to do that.”
December 18, 2025 at 4:36 AM
#Sirens alternate captain Jaime Bourbonnais took accountability for the Ella Huber goal in the 2P.

“I got caught in a bad spot there, for sure. Would want that one back.”

Said the team isn’t hanging their heads after tonight’s loss, and still believes they’re building momentum.
December 18, 2025 at 4:34 AM
Greg Fargo said the changes in the #Sirens Top-9 were “just a shake-up.”

“We're not finishing at the rate that we want to. I think putting Sarah back in the middle, it allows us to be really deep down the middle, and that's kind of what we talked about.”
December 18, 2025 at 4:34 AM
#Sirens coach Greg Fargo had a fairly positive takeaway after tonight’s 2-0 loss to Boston.

“I wouldn't change a lot of the game tonight, other than the results. I think when you look back at it, we carried a lot of the play. We had some great chances. We didn't score on those chances.”
December 18, 2025 at 4:33 AM
Boston Fleet head coach Kris Sparre on Aerin Frankel:

“It'd be really hard to not call her the best goalie in the world.”

“If there’s ice and there’s boards and fans, we’re going.”

Highly recommend. One of the best resources out there right now.

PP% is down across the PWHL —
#Sirens forward Sarah Fillier shared her thoughts:

“My mind honestly goes right to expansion. I think you're pulling apart teams who had some chemistry on the power play. Obviously, we lost 90% of our PP1 from last year. So I think maybe that's a factor affecting it.”
December 15, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Her #Sirens and Team Canada teammate Kristin O’Neill echoed these sentiments.

“I have absolutely no concerns with what the venue looks like or the ice sheet. I'm just concerned about getting there and impacting my team as much as possible.”
Sarah Fillier was adamant that the Olympic rink situation in Milan isn’t a concern:

“We’re going no matter what. The rink doesn't matter to us — if it's two feet shorter, two feet not as wide — we play in Europe all the time for World Championships, and the rinks are always different...”

#Sirens forward Sarah Fillier chalked up Canada’s defensive woes in the Rivalry Series to effort.

“I think it just had to do with compete. When you're wearing a jersey representing your country, there should be automatically an elevation to your game and everything you're doing…”

Talked to Team Canada forward Sarah Fillier about getting swept by USA in the Rivalry Series:

“There's no panic from our side, but we know that we have to go back to our markets and really prepare for February.”

Recovery day for the National Team players.

O’Brien didn’t dress on Saturday, so that’s why she’s back on the ice today.
