Started this new Audiobook...lots I never learned. So far it's fantastic. But I now know why we really should stop celebrating Columbus Day.

Watching what I think is a training flight (on an Atlas Air) for the new VC-25B during training flights to get ready for the new Air Force One at Austin (AUS) do a departure from intersection of taxiway T. Never seen a 747-8 use only 1/2 the runway. #AVGeek

I do understand the concepts of controller workload and dual-runway departure/arrival standards. BUT it is super inefficient to have this many lined up for departure, and an open runway doing basically nothing. A 737 burns around 120 gallons per hour with dual engine in idle.

Just noticed this poster I took a photo of while moving through the Billy Bishop (YTZ) Airport (Pedestrian Tunnel) with a photo of Austin Airways. Before now, I had never heard of Austin Airways (nothing to do with Austin, Texas).

Desjardins Odyssey Lounge (transborder) at YUL. I was denied access, but the lounge looks nice and open with minimal amenities.

Strange to see "Ship Number" vs aircraft registration on the Delta Airlines (seatback) navigation screen. I am guessing about 0.5% of passengers know what this means. I think N854DN would be much better.
