Three years ago today, I was in Guayaquil covering the 2022 Copa Libertadores final for @worldfootball.bsky.social as Flamengo narrowly beat Athletico Paranaense to claim their third #Libertadores title.

What a difference a year makes. This time last year, Fluminense were bottom of the Brasileirão. Tonight, they face Chelsea for a place in the Club World Cup final.
