It seems like some ingredient in the pork belly (possibly in the marinade) that you could be reacting to. Bacon and pork belly tend to have quite different flavour profiles so it could be something like soy (soya sauce) or shellfish (oyster sauce) etc.

If it was purely paper money then a crash wouldn't matter but I worry about loans baked by the farms as "assets". If they all plummet in value then farmers and lenders could be in trouble.

You're right, I was imprecise. But even with increased electricity demand, having 50% renewables in the grid and the much higher efficiency of grid scale gas turbines, total GHG emissions will be quite a lot lower.

Well, from the grid. Which in Ireland is about 50% renewables. Heat pumps are also way more efficient. They estimated a 90% reduction in greenhouse gasses.
