I find myself utterly unable to concentrate on writing today as my beautiful long nosed Blakey boy is having heart scans. So I'm pretending to catch up on some reading whilst waiting for the phone to ring. #WritingCommunity

1. Have an idea for a scene

I knew I'd forget to keep up with this!

I used to make this turkey pie every Boxing Day. I got the recipe from my Nan before she died. She refused to give my mum the recipe!

I'm vegan now so I adapt it with seitan, but it still conjures memories of family holidays.
TURKEY PIE 2 medium onions, chopped 3 cloves garlic 1 kg casserole veg (red onions, leets, carrots, swede, turni 2 peppers Sweetcom 1/3 tsp died chilli flakes Fry onions in 25g butter, add garlic, veg + Warm through. Then add.. I pint chicken or veg stock 2 tins chopped tomatoes 2 tsp worcestershire sauce 3 bay leaves ¼ tsp hot curry powder Simmer for about an hour. Once cool, stir through leftover turkey, pour into dishes and top with puff pastry
