My friend wrote this blog a few years back about another important person from the school - photographer & fieldworker Ian MacKenzie - and it includes a great portrait and minding of Adam.

I met Adam’s through School of Scottish Studies. A big personality and also a gentle guy. I remember a lecture - hardly looked at notes, so expert. Then as he finished he laughed - oh I see we don’t have any time for questions- oh well never mind ! 😂
