I love brioche, but I avoid writing patterns with this technique because it is more complex to explain on paper, whether in words or charts, and also because many knitters feel intimidated by it.

It's also important to make sure that the method you use to work your swatch—whether flat or in the round—matches the method you will use for the garment. Personally, I find that my tension differs when working stockinette stitch back and forth compared to working in the round! 🤓
