Got some shows this spring, starting this weekend with my band, in NY and RI!

Some 35mm shots from a ferry in Washington. The film had expired, so they are quite grainy and washed out, unfortunately.

Peedie bro Mags just became the first Dr Bichan (I believe!) very proud sister!

Just got some film back from Northeast Photographic. Last month I went to the London Aquarium. It mostly made me sad, but watching the jellyfish was incredibly mesmerising.

Swein’s story is told in the Orkneyinga Saga, written by an unknown Icelandic tribe, around 1200.

Swein liked to be around for planting of crops and then again for harvest, to take credit for the work (he didn’t do..) and meantime he would sail off and do all of the horrible things Vikings did.

Gairsay is a special place with an interesting history, once home to the Norse chieftain Sweyn Asleifsson, known as “the Ultimate Viking.”

Here are a few snaps I took early last year on the tiny Orkney island of Gairsay. It’s been a part of the Bichan family for a very long time, and I’ve taken many a trip over there to check sheep, help roll fleeces in the summer, or round them up to take them off the island.

Doodles on top of doodles. Feels nice to just put ink or paint on a page and see what happens. Therapeutic.

Working on this tune I wrote last year and haven’t named yet. Day 25 of #100daysofpractise. Thinking I need to get the metronome involved some more.
