It's been a great few weeks. We found the living fathers for Megan, Paul and Richard along with new half siblings for older clients Gillian and Dawn. And we found grandfathers for Debra and Audrey. Natasha has sent a photo of meeting her father for the first time too which we hope to show you soon.

What a day. Debbie phoned to say she met her birth father at the weekend for the first time. Duncan phoned to confirm his DNA results were in and he was indeed a paternal sibling match to Katherine. And Judith phoned to thank us for the report identify both of her parents #DNAGenealogy

Second podcast recorded today. Michael's search for his birth family. Him meeting his late mother's identical twin sister was particularly emotional - as you can imagine!

Recorded our first (audio) podcast interview with a client yesterday. Next step is editing. It took 3 months to find the best way to record a quality sound. Hope learning about the editing doesn't take as long. Wonders of DNA #genealogy

Paul's father is going to be tough to trace. Looks like he was the illegitimate child of an Italian POW and a Londoner who was herself illegitimate. We've got our work cut out. The wonders of DNA #genealogy

We speculate that Suzanne's grandfather knew about the illegitimate daughter that he fathered when he was 21. His first legitimate child was later given the identical same first and middle name. The wonders of DNA #genealogy

This week, we found the Lewis islander who fathered Jane's mum back in late 1918. He was by then with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. There are indications he got two women pregnant at broadly the same time. Must have been a real charmer. The wonders of DNA #genealogy

We've taken on a few new paternal Jewish DNA searches. One of our specialities but still very difficult. So many of the usual tools in the tool box simply aren't there. Inconsistency over country of origin, different surnames adopted, the destruction of generations of cousins during the Holocaust.

Flo now knows who her unknown father was. DNA points straight to him. Whether he worked at Whessoe in Darlington 70 years ago remains to be seen. #genealogy

We've solved some fascinating cases this month. Trish's grandfather has been identified through the marvels of DNA. He was a Manchester theatre manager a hundred years ago or so. It turns out the elderly relative with early dementia wasn't making it up after all. #genealogy
