Many former prison sites draw on the spooky and salacious to entertain visitors, especially during October. “It turns human suffering into a spectacle," as one criminologist put it. But some businesses are having second thoughts.

I guess AC/DC’s Back In Black (1980) is not classic. There is Van Halen & Aerosmith’s catalogue & more. Very unclassic

Neil Young’s 1989 song Keep on Rocking In The Free World, a classic rock musician releasing a classic rock song
Classic Rock is rock music from the 60s/70s, not the 80s/90s.

Without photojournalism, the news stays out of sight.

@nppa.org fights to protect the lens that keeps the public informed. Their work is more important than ever, but they need your help.

Read about their work and support them if you can.
The leading voice for visual journalists may be silenced. You can help.

Breaking news: “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert will end in May 2026, CBS said in a statement.

The announcement came days after Colbert spoke out against the $16 million paid earlier this month by Paramount, the parent company of CBS News.

Just a reminder that Secretary Hegseth's giddy suggestion of deploying active duty Marines to LA would require invoking the Insurrection Act. Without that, it violates the law to utilize active duty forces for domestic law enforcement.
