They can be all black. It used to be more common, and today is still found more often in racing lines than show or byb/pet market dogs. Iirc the only patterns not included in the breed standard are brindle and merle? Not every husky has domino!

As someone who likes wolfdogs and is not against their breeding or keeping and also has a vlcak and loves this dog breed --
What? Who says that?! Not true! I encourage you and anyone else to go meet some CsV and see that they are a breed with great character! I can't speak for Saarloos, though.

As someone who owns a vlcak and reguarly works with a couple of vallhunds: vlcaks are a lot easier to keep exercised lol. Vallhunds have that herding breed "go go go!" and bark a ton, vlcaks as adults exert effort where needed for the most part 🤣
