My fb is where I have cultivated strong social support via support groups/ pages dedicated to specific issues. I never see posts of a personal nature here. Am I doing something wrong?

Some of these big Dem accounts are so intent on maintaining the status quo that they are either in complete denial or are so well insulated from the threats that they mistakenly think, I'm alright Jack. Claiming anybody who calls for action are posers? That's MAGA level cognative dissonance.

How can there be so many Dems still riding high in the saddle like they are gods own voice about how 'the left' should move forward. The lack of self awareness and understanding of the lives of the poor is staggering. Neoliberalism is not left. Stop punching down.

TWs for books? I've never been a huge fan, but I've DNF about a dozen books this year because of rabid misogyny or fascist undercurrents. In the sci-fi/fantasy genre 😱.
I am sure I'm more aware of the undercurrents atm but that's a lot. I just want to know if the author is a tool before I buy.

Everytime I hear somebody complaining about 'purity politics' I understand what they are saying but also wonder who exactly they intend to throw under the bus.

Whether intended or not social media like Twitter and FB are teaching us all to accept unknown rules and arbitrary punishment as the price of being there. Many of us spend as much time online as IRL. This is what we are being taught to accept from governing bodies.

Yet again we've got a Scottish budget full of measures designed to mitigate Westminster policies. Instead of constantly having to protect Scots from Westminster decisions we should aim for a Scotland that protects itself forever from Westminster decisions by removing itself from Westminster rule.
