Realized part of my issue playing Eberron was that I wasn’t having fun with my current character anymore, so I’m working on a new one. She’s a very sad Vadalis experiment. “Human” (simic hybrid) fighter with a homebrew subclass based on mutation.

Kitchen's done! Backroom captura doesn't transfer decorations so decoration mode with selection filter is the only way to get good screenshots.
Now, do I go for making a bathroom in the helminth room or a 35 pillow duvet for the bed...

First try at a more sizable adopt as a way to try and break through the art block I’ve been having. I really enjoy making small and cute adoptables, but it was nice to take a stab at something more monster design-y. This one has a home with a friend on discord.

A series of digital sketches concepting out a fan character from Naruto. Her name is Koshin Ryūchi. One group of sketches is that of the character in a monstrous form resembling a pangolin. She has desaturated brown armor plates with darker accents, a lighter grey-brown underbelly, and a charcoal-grey mane of spiked armor plates along her back, as well as spikes at the end of her tail in that same color. She has a dark blue band of fabric on her lower arm with a metal forehead protector with the symbol of the Hidden Mist village on it. She has an armored crest along her forehead that frames her face, which has black sclera and bright yellow irises. She has dark markings around her eyes, and her face is caught in a perpetual grin due to the armored skin. Other sketches of this include a side profile and a small illustration showing that she can curl up into an armored ball and propel herself quickly. There is a small bit of text that reads “gotta go fast.” The other sketch is a rough portrait of her in human form. She has light skin and bright orange hair, with orange-red eyes. She is wearing an outfit of layered shades of teal, and the fabric arm band is laid around her neck like a large collar. This shows the size difference between the two forms. There are small pictures of previous iterations of these forms from February of 2018, showing the evolution of the design process and general art progress between the two. The newer sketches are from August of 2024. A series of three full body sketches of Koshin Ryūchi, a fan character from Naruto, in her human form. These sketches feature a complete redesign of her outfit while in human form, as I was unhappy with the previous design. They are labeled by time period within the show. All are posed the same, with one hand on her hip while the other is slack behind her. She has light skin, bright orange hair, and red eyes. Part 1 (Chunin, age 25-26): She is wearing a dark tan sleeveless shirt, a dark blue belt with the Hidden Mist forehead protector on it, camo-print pants with a light grey background and brown blotches, striped grey/darker grey arm and legwarmers, the latter of which are sewn into dark blue ninja sandals. There is a pouch tied to her leg. Her hair is tied up in a tight bun, and her eyes have large bags below them, showing her exhaustion and unhealthiness. Part 2 (Jonin, age 29-30): She has the same pants, arm warmers, and leg warmers/sandals. She now wears a purple-grey flak jacket in the Hidden Mist style and a dark brown undershirt. She wears her forehead protector on her forehead. Her hair is loose and while she still looks tired, she has a small smile and looks slightly healthier. Stationed in the Hidden Leaf: Most of her outfit is the same, but her jacket is now in the style of the Hidden Leaf. Her arm and legwarmers are a solid color, and she has a dark blue undershirt on with loose sleeves that go down to her elbows. Her hair is wild and loose, and she has a wide grin on her face. There is a flush to her cheeks, indicating she is much healthier now. Her forehead protector is now attached to an oversized collar of dark blue fabric that lays around her neck and shoulders. A two panel comic featuring two characters from Naruto. One is Kurenai Yuhi, a canon character, and the other is Koshin Ryūchi, a fan character. Koshin is in her monstrous pangolin form. Kurenai is dressed in her Part 2/Shippuden outfit after giving birth to her daughter, with a dark brown long-sleeved shirt and a loose red vest on top. There is no dialogue (yet, because I couldn’t think of what to write). The first panel shows Kurenai gently holding Koshin’s face and pressing their foreheads together, looking at her with a soft, accepting expression. Koshin’s monster form is huge by comparison, with only two of her claws on one hand covering most of one of Kurenai’s arms. She is crying, and her expression looks like she’s regretful, or perhaps caught in self-doubt. The second panel is smaller, a zoom in on their faces. Kurenai’s eyes are closed and she is kissing, Koshin’s forehead crest. She has a light blush on her cheeks. Koshin is still crying, but her eyes are wide and she is happily surprised.
