LOVE my induction cooktop. I'm in the same boat - no gas & used to a standard electric cooktop. Induction acts like a gas stove - extremely responsive & heats up quickly. The learning curve is easy. It does require stainless steel or cast iron cookware (enameled cast iron works too). 0 regrets.
