always get anxious when I've got max security (i thought) they asked for.. and then get prompted for another step, terrified I'm going to lose access because a fumble this
youtube popup titled "verify it's you" saying "to continue, we need to confirm it's really you. this extra layer of security helps keep your account safe." and the only options are "learn more" and "next"

but how I had to do this on desktop for this example was absolutely awful,there is no mirror to display option in the streaming camera on desktop it seems so see second image

If I run a discord (which I do, 4) how the heck am I meant to moderate lewd sections without access?? (rhetorical)

I'm glad I've set up other moderators but this sucks.. yes I've known this was coming for months but I'm still annoyed it's actually happened and continued.

fun night last night with some really cool people and an Idris we borrowed from a friend, went to attack SPK and clear crimestats after bombing the Idris elevator to hell in #StarCitizen
A turret floating in space with a bright orange laser shooting in glowing in the center of the screen hitting it, there are two characters crouched with guns silhouetted by the glowing standing on a platform at the source of the beam, one looking like they are floating just off center to the left and the bottom half of the image being a platform they are standing on with lights dotted down the sides and center

example from the game I was explaining it for Star Citizen

commonly happens when the player sees a side of a surface they shouldn't be able to see, here the external surface isn't rendering causing them to see the the back of a normal
a bright glowing pod on the back of a ship with a tiny cab on the front, the pod isn't renedering correctly so we see glowing shapes around it completly hiding the background with its brightness and we see the light shining off the floor in screenspace reflections and then tiny headlights on the front of the vehicle as it's facing towards the right of the viewer with it's lights just in view being much dimmer, the ship is landed on a glossy floor

okay so there needs to be a balance between storing on Resonite and local, loading a big package is a bit much to work on a material or a few then export it again

still much much much quicker than 30 minute importing the blend file :p

I've gotten real used to this import prompt mew

finally got it in so proud of this... and yeah i see differences too but it works

blender node editor along side the bake menu showing the bake type set to diffuse, only with color selected, and output targeting image textures and clear image checked, the node editor shows a mix shader linked to material output and an image texture named white diffuse webp with the settings under the name set to linear, flat, repeat, generated and colourspace sRGB

followed a really old Blender tutorial for pool balls and shaders, baked out the textures then got this result after importing to Resonite.

I have no idea how shaders/materials work in Resonite yet so i guessed around

worked out two things, Albedo texture seems to be diffuse map in blender
two pool balls an 8 black ball and a 10 ball with a blue band around the middle. both have white spots in the center and are gently reflecting the flowery pattern on the floor, everywhere else is a black void lit from behind

my original model right, exported and reimported (via GLTF)
two wireframe long cubes in blender, the one on the right having nice clean long faces with a little lip inside it with another box in it and the one on the left having the same overall look but with diagonal lines across every single face inside and out.

So I got a rigged model into Resonite last week sometime, and now I have finally made an avatar using that model and it works :D

although it was being weird with the "try align hands" section.. pointing forwards out from the face when clicked. but given my character is just blocks.. eh
character without a torso just two large cuboid thighs, no arms and two small hands about the size of a deck of cards with a tiny cube for a head, stood in an endless void with a black floor with a white grid on it. taken in resonite

Oh yeah the issue (I think)

these "particles" played when a fluid stream hits a surface, I'm pretty sure are the cause of some awful fps drops

Rigs and bones and shit aren't that scary.

The Rig:
a face made out of bones in blender with triangular points looping around the ears, and jaw line, with a few points in the middle for a nose, some a loop of tiny ones around each eye and a point for the eye themselves with tons of downwards pointing arrows for forehead muscle control

Finally got my Blender 3D robot arm kinda done I think

followed a tutorial for boning and rigging it, more info in the alt text due to limits on post size
