I used to think that labelling things as dangerous would make people more aware, not less. Forgetting that it's possible to know something's dangerous without knowing it's dangerous.

As for Pollyanna, vaguely familiar. I seem to remember my mother hates the story, so we never watched it.

This insipid insanity makes steam come out of my ears.

And also: What kind of evidence does anyone have that "everything is going to be all right in the end"? Why would it? There's no universal law that dictates that.

To quote my favourite Have I Got News For You catchphrase, I see he still hasn't got that salute quite right yet.

And the reddest of all the reddest red flags is that somebody would have that quantity of hoarded wealth and publicly express pride that they're going to great lengths to ruin people with barely anything. When someone tells me in no uncertain terms who they are, I believe them.

For many people there's the hope that somebody else could a) buy this person off ("How much would it cost for you not to be evil?") b) Take charge and somehow sort this out.
I don't think it would be different if these people weren't rich. The obscene wealth just accelerates it.

Thank you. The default 'just follow the money' position is misleading and dangerous. A terrifying amount of people are ideologically driven to destroy.
