anyone know how to get turmeric stains out of a cotton sweater? this pic is from after I rushed to wash it out in the bathroom sink
a cream colored sweater with yellow spots on it due to my ADHD and forgetting I'd opened the turmeric drink already before shaking it again.

some mushrooms that have sprouted in my flowerbed. I have no idea what kind they are or if they're edible. I'm happy they're here to visually enjoy, though.
two mushrooms sprouting out of a small gap between the mulch and the brick border of the flowerbed. one is white with a textured dome top. the other is under the brick and has a yellow spot at the apex of the head that is white and grey a side view of two other mushrooms with the white and grey tattered looking heads. the larger of the two has bits of mulch resting on top of the head. a different mushroom that looks kind of like a white puff ball mushroom surrounded by a rosemary plant. a closer look at the yellow, white, light grey, and light blue coloring of the frilly edged mushrooms.

Finally got under the house to check on the size & how many feet of pipe insulation tubes I need to buy for the hot water pipes. There were already tubes... on the dirt floor instead of on the pipes. Now, that task is done and no money spent! (crawl space is ~2.5 feet high. so not much crawling)

my boyfriend reminded me about the bag of candy from Costco that I never opened. I am now telling kids to take a handful of candy. Some don't understand that they can take more that one or two pieces.

I shortened the sleeves on my boyfriend's jacket. They're not perfect, but I'm still proud of myself.

I'm annoyed that Kaiser still doesn't have the COVID vaccine. I plan on getting both it and the flu vaccine at the same time, but their plan right now is to wait until both the CDC and FDA have done their thing. With how things are, will it even be distributed by Kaiser? an estimate at least

I bought some boiled eggs from Costco last week. what a game changer! breakfast is so much easier when I'm in a rush. I can grab a pack and eat them when I get to work.

I mowed the lawn, made a flower bed, trimmed the trees, dead headed the roses, and planted a couple more herbs. I'm ready for a bath.
before I made the flower bed. the lawn goes all the way up to the house and surrounds the rose bushes and trees. this picture was taken after I had already worked a bit. the grass that used to engulf the bottom of the water spout on the corner of the wall. the after shot. the grass by the house and around the rose bush and tree has been removed. in place of the grass there's fresh mulch and red brick colored concrete flower bed edgers. a red rose, lying on the grass, that I clipped off the bush because it's fading at the edges.

My partner makes batches of breakfast sandwiches and freezes them. He tried to cook a sheet pan of eggs instead of cooking them individually...
a sheet pan with eggs that had been blended with spices. it seems the spices all floated to the top during baking. there's an obvious layer of spices on top of the eggs in the pan.

I was in a hurry and worried I didn't cook the egg long enough. It turned out perfect.

started my day with coffee, walking the dog and cleaning some rugs that said dog peed on or near last night. He usually wakes me up to go out, and for him to have peed twice indoors is odd.

I did a little yard work over the weekend. that 3/4 full bin of weeds all came from this L-shaped flower bed. I planted the sage the previous weekend, the rosemary was Sunday morning.
a raised flower bed with a brick border next to a brick walkway up to a brick front porch. from farthest away to nearest in the flower bed, there is a rose bush with three pink roses, a small sage plant, and a small rosemary plant. the front half of the flower bed has fresh mulch. a big green yard waste bin 3/4 full of weeds. the other side of the flower bed where it sits along the front of the house. the picture is taken at a slight angle to the house. there are rose bushes with pink flowers along the flower bed. the noses of two cars can just be seen in the picture. there are piles of weeds that had been pulled from the flower bed on the ground

I got home from work, cooked dinner and ate, and then relaxed on the couch with the pup while I read. it was so nice. very much needed. I hope y'all are finding ways to take care of yourselves, too.
