I will never buy a smart watch. The hardware will get outdated in a few years. I don't want companies spying on me when I'm just outside walking and I don't like priopriatary software. The watch I use I got as inheritance from my grandfather when he died. It is from the 50s and it still works.

I just saw the price for the switch 2 where I live. I will not be getting it at launch. Time to wait another 8 years to get a chance to get a nintendo console at launch.

Does anyone know of a good external soundcard with a xlr input/inputs and that works on Linux? I have been thinking of getting a used Behringer xenyx 502 USB or a Yamaha ag03 but I wonder if there are any others around the 50-60$ mark.

I will come with the controversial opinion and say that generative ai is a worthless pice if crap being forced down our throats. I write factual texts about stuff I'm interested in or for school work and seeing people use ai to generate a text like the ones I have written before feels horrible.
some people are accusing me of being an "anti-ai grifter" so let me clarify something: i am not against machine learning, i actually find it incredibly interesting and do run some models locally pretty often to help me out with boring tasks

I have given up. Had my first and last meeting with a psychiatrist. They said my problems weren't severe enough to give me any more appointments. I think that made me feel worse than I did before going. I'm probebly going to be dead before I build up the courage to go again.

Everyone around me can always come up with ideas and other creative work and then there's me wo literaly can't. I am not creative at all.
I got an assignment recently to create a short song. Just 10 seconds. And I just couldn't. Chords was easy but a melody was impossible for me.

I can't understand how people can use the discover tab. I never have understood it. Maybe it's just me but I want the things from the people I followed and not from randoms. Note I understand that people want more people to follow to make it more personal but I still don't understand using discover
