100 percent. 26 th ave SW perfect example of a dangerous painted bike lane. Not sure of the answer for that particular route but the bike lanes give a false sense of security. Maybe drop the speed limit to 40 kph on pained lane routes?

Hmmm, the MOU was signed two days ago.

You are certainly allowed to have opinions but in Canada you are not allowed to vote in any civic election untill you are a citizen. That has always been the law
November 29, 2025 at 3:25 AM
While not siding with the UCP, think for a moment . We don’t let non citizens vote. At all. Where does including them in party nomination process come in.
November 29, 2025 at 2:40 AM
This was Avi’s mistake. An all out attack with out knowing the full MOU. He says power lines not pipelines and that was literally in the MOU.
November 29, 2025 at 2:37 AM
I see that as a meet and greet to lay ground work for dialog. Neither of those two are making any deals or arrangements. The MOU was signed in a day. Consensus , if it happens, will be a slow boat. No need for PM MC to be every where. The signed deal was with Alberta. It isn’t just a pipline
November 29, 2025 at 2:35 AM
I don’t disagree but what makes u think he won’t schedule a meeting with Eby? He’s no dummy. He won’t miss that. Meanwhile Avi Lewis just destroyed the NDP federally. He’s forcing Nenshi to disconnect from the federal wing.

Written by the man whose country invaded Afganistan, when it was the Saudis who destroyed the twin towers .

The moment I read "vaccine injury" I know the point of view. Sad really. Adverse effects do occur , depending on a the circumstances, but the rate is often in the 1 in 100,000's. (pleural)
Anti-vaccism syndrome was minor prior to covid and social media misinformation. Now its common place.

I've always said he should change the name of the provincial party
November 28, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Thank you I did not know that. Seeing a lot of knee jerk reactions to the MOU only because it has "pipeline" in it.

a dispatch from yesterday shows Russian soldiers refusing to move up to front line. they retreated against orders. this was a larger unit. They are protesting not being paid. gonna get worse

I have studded Nokien winters on my FWD VW golf and I'll never go back. the traction is unbelievable. There are many brands of good winter tires to choose from. AND remember it's not the starting that's important. It's the steering and stopping. 4 WD helps with starting but not the other two.
November 27, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Case in point in the last storm the hwy 22 was pretty good Monday AM and the city portion of ring road wasn't touched and you couldn't see a single white line. U will notice most cars use winter tires and more each year use studded winter tires.

Problem is they wait till snow stops before going to work for the most part. They use graders in tandem on the glenmore and main routes and that very effective. The highways are done by Vloker Stevin and they are state of the art but thats out side of the city and the city wont follow suit.
November 27, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Dear Mr. Idaho. We do use salt, Calcium Chloride, in two forms . Liquid pickle is applied to main boulevards prior to snow to melt it as it falls. only works at above -10. Then the "plow" more of a scraper, spread a sand salt mixture after the snow stops falling.

FYI. Canadians built a railway line between Prince Rupert and Prince George over 100 years ago. it's still in use. 100 years later we can build a pipeline.

Thanks for posting. Even when Harper failed to get approval for Northern Gateway the intent was never to use the Hecate Straight. It was always to go due west, to Asia. The Tanker ban could remain in place for the straight and still allow shipping from Rupert to Asia.

This is the real story otherwise she make one phone call and the problem is solved. There is a go fund me for the Mothers legal fees that is doing pretty well. Also she's a DACA recipient. There is no bottom.

Canada is actively recruiting Dr’s and nurses looking for alternative destinations. So far we are ecstatic with the results.

I have studs and put them on last week but my 29 inch wheels on my ebike make it a long way down. I took two dumps last winter and am still hesitant to ride in the slippery stuff

its fine for common questions where the re percussion is a poorly made cake, or even a car repair gone bad. But when wrong or out of date info costs you the loss of a client, or perhaps a dentist who relies on info for a procedure there needs to be a second opinion and somewhere, accountability.
