Talk Essendon and Aussie Rules.
199cm isn’t tall enough in the modern game for a ruckman. Strongly believe he was drafted as a Key Forward.

Superb start from Rosa. How some can attack this result as a ‘blunder’ is absolutely baffling.

Essendon still keen on trading up for one of these guys or did most offers get turned down last night? Obviously some connection to Shanahan there.

Excited to hear Tsatas is progressing. Has an extra burst of speed the others don’t.

Big 2025 ahead. Need him to go to another level and become an absolute star!

One or two could be very high picks. Who’s to say next year’s draft doesn’t turn into a super draft? My guess is they have someone in mind that they want to pair with either Kako or Caddy in mind.

Depends on the player at the pick. Always risky with future first. What type you think they’re going after?

Hey everyone! Go Dons!

I think the most likely lineup is:

Gresham Caddy Perkins
Langford Wright Kako

I have high hopes for Martin. Don’t think it’s a coincidence he’s picked up good traits from all the roles he’s played too.

If 2025 is to be a year of growth for the bombers, I hope we get to see some of these position/role changes at some stage. At least for some period of time to see what this list has got.

Andrew McGrath -> Strict Lockdown Small Forward

Let the VC do what he does best. Defend. When he doesn’t have the responsibility of being a driver of the ball off HB he can be one of the games best small defenders, it’s also where his most valuable counter attacks start from.

Alwyn Davey Jnr. -> Back Pocket/ Half Back

Plays his best running back towards goal. I’d like to see him how he goes with the game all in front of him. Was impressive as a wingman in juniors, get the ball in his hands and see what he’s got.

Archie Perkins -> Medium Forward

Mostly played midfield last year but I have always seen him as the Stringers natural successor. Dangerous around goals and a great set shot I would love to see him play majority of his time in the forward-line.

Nic Martin -> Midfield

Terrific skills on the outside make him a brilliant wingman, but his change of direction and game reading ability in the front half make him so dangerous. Propose Redman moves into Martin’s former back half role.

Much better over here!
