I refuse to spend one second of the Trump term being surprised or outraged. I knew this would happen and so did every person who voted against it. This doesn’t change until the other half of the country decides to be outraged.
I’m not even sure that’s how math works.

What is the base number that the murder rate is declining from? 35% decline in 9 days compared to what? The 9 days before that? The same 9 day period during the height of the crack epidemic? This is just some word salad bullshit.

A butt?

Seriously though. Stephen Miller is trash.

Wow. Stevie needs a nap.

RFK Jr and Trump would be slugging down Coca Cola with the yeyo by the gallon.

I can’t wait to see how the folks in the diner tie themselves in knots coming up with a compelling reason to still support a wretch like Joni Ernst.

I’m still quite sure they’ll get there, but it might break their smooth, little, lead-soaked Boomer brains.

That said, the total number protesting at the No Kings events was less than 5 million. So there’s still work to be done. We need to triple those numbers.

340 million people in the US.

3.5% is roughly 12 million people.

77 million voted for Trump.

70 million are under 18.

That leaves about 193 million adults who didn’t vote for fascism.

Of those, we need just 1 out of every 16 to stand up and fight.

I hate Noem but Snopes has debunked this quote multiple times.

How is that any different than the supposed problem they were brought in to solve? Masked men harassing people on the streets of DC.

Now I don’t mean to be ugly, but I think Aaron Judge has weird tiny monster teeth.
August 16, 2025 at 12:44 PM
I lived in the south for a long time and I’m pretty sure as long as you preface it with, “Now I don’t mean to be ugly, but…” you can still say whatever you want.

I think about this a lot except it’s the election of Barack Obama. The election of a black man to the highest office must be the lowest point of every racist’s life. It’s a violation of their prime directive and it broke them. They’ll gladly embrace autocracy to make sure it never happens again.

Lamest member of one of the lamest Real World seasons ever. I’d sooner trust Montana or Jason with the DOT. And they sucked.
August 14, 2025 at 4:13 PM
Of course this guy would say that. Sour grapes.
August 14, 2025 at 2:09 AM
This should have been the headline in the WaPo and NYT. But they’ve taken the buyout too

This is the problem with gerrymandering. The centrist idea that if CA does it, TX can too - is deeply wrong. Greg Abbott doesn’t want to pack Congress with those who believe in a better life for all, but simply differ on the how. He wants to pack Congress with fascist assholes to destroy democracy

Hmm - 4 of the top 5 are Dem states and 4 of the bottom 5 are GOP states. Interesting.
August 7, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Oslo…Maryland?
August 6, 2025 at 9:12 PM
The hard truth is that we need to fight like hell against the moderate, corporatist Dem candidates, but maintain that same fire in supporting them if they win the primary. The alternative is unthinkable.

I had a similar feeling in the first half hour of Superman. It did get better, but the first act was so poorly done and stupid. I couldn’t believe 30 or so people were politely sitting there for it. I felt like shouting “WE DESERVE BETTER!”
August 4, 2025 at 12:32 PM
You know how I know that’s bullshit? Because if we raised their salaries to $500k/yr to call his bluff, a move that would cost the government less than $200M, they still wouldn’t vote for it.

What a fun way to hear some new music and melt my grinchy heart for a few hours.
