It depends on site, I think. If they're an online vendor or taking credit cards at all, they use a merchant service. That provider will have reports. But to check that it's not tampered with in the most basic way would require verifying bank deposits match.

Well if it's just auto generated by the site, is an audit needed? Can they simply send you the data? If there's nothing to fully audit, a third party doesn't feel needed, but could still be used.

Just verifying numbers always feels odd to me, as the data set may be incomplete so who even knows. But if I can help at all to figure out what's needed, or what to do, or who to hire, I'm game. This stuff can be difficult when it's not close to your wheelhouse.

This also all depends on how thorough you want it to be. If it's just verifying numbers without digging deeper, it's it even an audit? And do you even need an audit?

As an example, I'm an EA, which means my focus is tax and I don't do audits. It also means usually when I see a CPA doing taxes, they're doing them badly 🫠

But depending on field, I might know a CPA to recommend. I do sometimes work alongside them. Or you can look them up in license registries.

I'd second a CPA, but you should find a smaller firm to do the job. CPAs that do taxes will likely do a crap job of an audit. That license is broad, with various options to focus and often firms will claim they do more than they're really trained for. If they're a jack of all trades I'd steer clear.

It's the locals here who participated in the time honored act of booing. Not the team. Root for the locals who also "threatened" Steven Miller out of his mansion by using sidewalk chalk to write messages like "love is love", "trans rights are human rights", and "we ❤️ immigrants" outside his home.

This shit is why I protest voted in the 2024 election.

Last week I spoiled my ballot and had to do it again, because my protest was a bit more... Aggressive.

She was soooooo happy I approved. I told her that should he fail to make her happy in the future, I'll change my opinion. But so far? A total keeper.

I also told her that it will be nice not to threaten the groom at one of her weddings, and she laughed, having forgotten I threatened the last guy.

I guess she never knew that the only thing I cared about was how her partner made her feel, and if he lifted spirits and supported her, or if tore her down and used her.

And just as foolishly, I assumed we'd drifted too far for her to want me in her life events.

Except I NEVER knew the first guy. It's true I technically met him more times, but I didn't know him. I judged him harshly because he made her sad and unhappy. That's ALL I cared about. The new guy? She lights up talking about him. I'm rooting for them.
