How are you going to broach the issue that non-citizens (and heck even non-yt passing citizens) effectively do not have meaningful 1st, 4th or due process rights even though they’re supposed to? Especially having to know ‘shibboleths’ and ‘magic phrases’ to use most of these ‘rights’?

I can get a firmer answer for you if you are interested as I am also keen on limiting my risk of prolonged detention at a US port-of-entry.

TBK, at a preclearance port-of-entry like Toronto Pearson, non-citizens have an a limited right to withdraw their application to enter USA, and ultimately Canadian law and charter still rules. The worst US CBP can do is hand someone over to CBSA and cannot indefinitely detain.
