Returned to Nagoya from my weekend trip and realized I planned poorly and need to do laundry. Google Maps gave me some funky-ass root to the laundromat. Found out the route was designed to avoid a couple love hotels.

As a Godzilla fan I was excited to find Toho and the Shin Godzilla statue.

First ramen shop of the trip visited. #Bankara Ramen in Shinjuku was a welcome stop after walking around in some craptastic weather. Now with any luck I can find my way back to my hotel near Tokyo Station.

So I’m in Japan on a business trip. And in my true “directionally-challenged” fashion, I find I’m talking to myself in my head in …Spanish.

Apparently the heart rate monitor on my Garmin watch stopped working a month ago. Or I died in Mexico last month. I’m inclined to think the former instead of the latter. Mostly because I’ve not developed a taste for brains.

Due to a planning error, Goji couldn’t make it for this week’s trip. Filling in admirably is #TitanusDoug. Since Doug is along the posts will end up being mostly food porn.

The english-language recorded announcements on my Aeroméxico flights sound like the dude from Unsolved Mysteries.

Just got text message from a phone number in the Philippines claiming to be US Customs. Low effort phishing to be sure.

Received a notification email that my past work has been cited in another paper. Been out of the lab almost 20 years at this point.
