We were going to sing it but the service leader prattled on for 20 mins at the start so needed to cut it and another. I'd have preferred to cut As with gladness from a musical perspective, but there you go!

Ours actually seem to have seen sense and not. Mind you, down here on the coast it's apparently gusting at 63mph. Dog and I are hoping to be asleep well before midnight!

So have we for the sermon but still need someone to lead and I'm the only interpreter (the other is married to the vicar so away) so if I don't interpret, the Deaf BSL users have no access.

Would it really be such a bad thing if all churches took the weekend off between Christmas and New Year? In my parish Clergy take a well deserved break so the laity have to cover it whether we want to or not!
