I love this picture I found on a table top games publisher's website (BTRC) of two geodesic domes next to a folly in the shape of round tower with a pointed conical roof.

Also check out Clarence Redd’s weird 1920s SF Mythras-based TTRPG, Odd Soot. There are some excellent maps of 1920s Doggerland & biology text book style drawings of strange aliens. www.frostbytebooks.com/odd-soot

I don’t know why the BBC would put a horror serial on in the middle of an evening family comedy sketch show. But they did and I still carry the psychological trauma of The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town to this day.

Just finished reading Susan Cooper’s “Over Sea, Under Stone.” Fortunately, my copy is the lovely 1982 Puffin edition & not one of the more recent ones.

NecroNeil's etsy shop -- where one could purchase issues of the brilliant cut & paste #horror movie review #fanzine, #Necronomicon -- has gone dark (rather than just being on a break).

Does anyone out there know Neil's status & if he plans to return to #zines?

If you see this post something orange.

NecroNeil/ Necro Neil, author & editor of the cut and paste horror film review zine, Necronomicon seems to have closed his Etsy store. Anyone have links to an announcement? Is he okay?

Fewer of you may be aware of Clarence Redd's Mythras-based "Odd Soot," set in a weird 1920s in which #Doggerland never sank: www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/2...

Gearing up for my annual re-read of one of my favourite novels, Russell Hoban's Riddley Walker. I hope to make a psychogeographic pilgrimage of my own in the not-too-distant future: #ScienceFiction #NowReading #psychogeography #PostApocalypse errorbar.net/rw/

I’ve been fascinated by those odd closed, hidden, & half forgotten underground railway/ subway stations since my first viewing of Neverwhere on the Beeb. I’m glad that Franklin Square is reopening. But a selfish part of me will miss the thrill of seeing it on PATCO on the way into Philly. 🔔

Someone has to have written about #hauntology & Simon Stalenhag’s Tales from the Loop art, surely? Unrealized futures, right?

One of my earliest memories of haunted media is The Clifton House Mystery (1978): old houses, hidden rooms, militaria, & a skeleton—& all rooted in Britain’s historical trauma. Yes, I am of the #HauntedGeneration. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cli...

A little late with this but, back in the 1970s, we actually went on a school trip to a canal that had orange water from local mine-workings. I suspect it was the Bridgewater Canal: www.est1761.org/heritage-sto...
