That's a good move to do. Holding back until you've confirmed your hunch. It may not feel good, but it can be useful to have if you have a suspicion about something or someone.

Y'know, lately I've been asked why I don't have a girlfriend or why I'm not looking for someone.
To tell the truth, I just haven't found that spark. Sure I acknowledge there are beautiful people around me, but I tell myself not to act impulsively to that emotion.
It's just how I try to survive.
