I have a coworker who's trans and she chose the name Emily. When I asked why she's like "Because I wanted the most normal sounding name ever so I wouldn't be particularly noticeable."

My now ex-manager went by Benzo. When I questioned why he was going by the name of a street drug at work, he said it was because when he got out of jail he was driving a mercedes-benz and people called him Benzo because of it
